Shipman Historic District Meeting Shipman Historic District PowerPoint Nelson County and the Virginia Department of Historic Resources have partnered to identify and document historic properties in the community of Shipman. The information collected during this survey will be used to determine the eligibility of a National Register of Historic Places historic district in Shipman.

The Nelson County Convenience Centers hours of operation for Saturday, January 6, 2024 are 1:00pm - 7:00pm due to inclement weather. In the event that inclement weather continues into the afternoon, convenience centers may remain closed for the remainder of Saturday. An update will be posted in the event that closure is necessary.
