NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NELSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
In accordance with Volume 3A, Title 15.2, Counties, Cities and Towns, of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, and pursuant to §15.2-2204 and §15.2-2310, the Nelson County Board of Supervisors hereby gives notice that Public Hearings will start at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2026 in the General District Courtroom on the third floor of the Nelson County Courthouse located at 84 Courthouse Square, Lovingston.
Public Hearing(s):
1. Special Use Permit #260164 – Vacation House (Short Term Rental) in R-1 Residential District
Consideration of a Special Use Permit application requesting County approval of a vacation house (short term rental of a dwelling) use in the R-1 Residential District, located at 1238 Tye Brook Hwy in Piney River. The subject property is further identified as Tax Map Parcel #65-A-56B, which totals 1.0459 acres and is owned by Tye Brook Holdings LLC, represented by Heather Coiner.
2. Special Use Permit #260278 – Vacation House (Short Term Rental) in R-2 Residential District
Consideration of a Special Use Permit application requesting County approval of a vacation house (short term rental of a dwelling) use in the R-2 Residential District, located at 403 Riverside Drive in Schuyler. The subject property is further identified as Tax Map Parcel #62-3-20, which totals 1.15 acres and is owned by John Cruthrids, represented by Walter & Katherine Miranda.
3. Special Use Permit #250263 – Campground in A-1 Agriculture District
