Meals On Wheels is expanding services to Nelson County. Meals On Wheels strives to improve the health and support the independence and dignity of our homebound neighbors by delivering nutritious meals right to the door. If you know of community member(s) who have difficulty both accessing and preparing food for themselves, please refer them to us.
Who Meets Our Criteria:
People ages 18 and up
People with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, CHF, kidney disease or other degenerative conditions
People with challenges or limitations that make it difficult or impossible to prepare meals for themselves
People who are home alone during the day and unable to leave to access to food
People living alone who are recovering from surgery (temporary services available)
