The Nelson County Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution R2023-74 to declare a local drought emergency in Nelson County at today’s afternoon session. Additionally, Emergency Ordinance 2023-01 was adopted to enact a local burn ban which bans open air burning. The local burn ban is effective immediately.
