Dear Ms. McGarry,
Pursuant to §15.2-1418 of the Code of Virginia, this letter is to request a Special Called Meeting of the Nelson County Board of Supervisors to be held on July 14, 2025 at 4 p.m. in the Former Board of Supervisors Room (#420) at the Courthouse in Lovingston, 84 Courthouse Square, Lovingston, VA 22967.
The purpose of the Special Called Meeting is to provide for the conduct of a closed session pursuant to Code of Virginia §2.2-3711 A (8) Consultation with legal counsel employed or retain by a public body regarding specific legal matters requiring the provision of legal advice by such counsel and §2.2-3711 A (7) Consultation with legal counsel and briefings by staff members or consultants pertaining to actual or probable litigation, where such consultation or briefing in an open meeting would adversely affect the negotiating or litigating posture of the public body.
Following the closed session, the Board may consider authorizing a Notice of Award for IFB#2025-NCDSS Nelson County Social Services Building.
The Board of Supervisors may also consider other matters at the Special Called Meeting, predicated on the attendance of all members of said Board at the Special Called Meeting.
Please provide public notice of this meeting pursuant to Code of Virginia §2.2-3707 (E).
