Adult GED Programs
Nelson County offers free education to adults who have not completed high school. This includes free pre-test/assessment, free materials, and free classes. Classes are offered during two sessions each year and both day and evening classes are available to accommodate your schedule.
Night Classes
Night classes are held at Nelson County High School on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The fall session begins the Monday after Labor Day and goes until just before Thanksgiving. The winter/spring session begins the Monday after New Year’s Day and ends before Memorial Day.
Day Classes
Day classes are held in a meeting room at the Nelson Center on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 am to noon. The fall session begins the Tuesday after Labor Day and goes until just before Thanksgiving. The winter/spring session begins the Tuesday after New Year’s Day and ends before Memorial Day.
