The Thomas Jefferson Soil and Water Conservation District, located in Charlottesville, Virginia, is recruiting for Environmental Programs Coordinator to manage and oversee the youth and adult Education Program and the Residential Cost Share Program. The District is specifically looking for a candidate that has successfully and independently managed similar programs.
- The Residential Cost-Share Program provides financial incentives and technical and educational assistance to property owners installing eligible Best Management Practices (BMPs) that address erosion and poor drainage issues and promote the use of native plants.
- The Educational Program for youth and adults, includes recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers and includes a spring and fall outdoor watershed education learning experience for 4th grade (approximately 1,400 children per year).
This full-time position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance and retirement, and a flexible work environment. Salary range of $46,839 to $76,458.
