June 11, 2019 – Republican Primary Election for House of Delegates 20th District

The deadline to register to vote in this election is Monday, May 20, 2019.

*The constitution of Virginia requires that voters be registered in the precinct in which they live in order to be qualified to vote. Qualified residents who will be at least 18 years of age on or before November 5, 2019, may register to vote.

To register to vote, you must complete a voter registration application. To fill out the online application form or download a blank mail-in voter registration application and complete it by hand go to www.vote.virginia.gov.

Voters may complete registration applications in person at a local election official office, DMV  and other Virginia governmental agencies.

*Registered voters who need to change their address may  submit a voter registration application, the voter card, or on-line at www.vote.virginia.gov.

The deadline to change registration information prior to the June Primary Election is May 20, 2019. 

If a registered voter’s address has changed, the voter should update their

address to ensure they remain qualified to vote.

*Voters may check their voter registration information online at www.vote.virginia.gov/search .

*The following offices are up for election in the Nov.5, 2019 General and Special Elections: Virginia Senate, House of Delegates for 20th and 59th Districts, Member Board of Supervisors and School Board Member for South & West Districts. Special Election for East District School Board Member.

Absentee Ballots:

*Deadline to Apply By Mail:  Tuesday, June 4, 2019 5pm

*Deadline to Apply In Person:  Saturday, June 8, 2019

*Polling places open at 6:00am and close at 7:00pm

All voters must show a photo ID in order to vote. If you do not have one, please call 434-263-4068 for information on obtaining one.

Voter Registration Deadline: October 15, 2019

The deadline to register to vote in the General Election is Tuesday, October 15, 2019. The constitution of Virginia requires that voters be registered in the precinct in which they live in order to be qualified to vote. Qualified residents who will be at least 18 years of age on or before November 5, 2019, may register to vote. To register to vote, you must complete a voter registration application. Deadline to Apply In Person: Saturday, November 2, 2019 by 5:00 p.m.

Polling Hours

On any election, whether General, Primary, or Special – the polls are required to open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
