Great Backyard Bird Count Trail Walk with The Rockfish Valley Foundation at the Rockfish Valley Loop Trail. The Great Backyard Bird Count is a joint project of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society that consists of an annual four day period in which participants all across the country take a small amount of time to identify and count their local birds. You don’t need to know a lot about birds or even have fancy binoculars; just come walk the trail with our naturalist; light refreshments on us! Meet at trail head at Route 151 and the South Rockfish River two miles south of Nellysford. 434-361-0271.
