LYNCHBURG DISTRICT ROAD CONDITION UPDATE
LYNCHBURG, Va. – Most roads across the Lynchburg District of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) remain clear but wet from this most recent storm; however, motorists should anticipate the possibility of some refreeze overnight and into the early hours of Friday, November 16.
Currently, there are almost three dozen roads across the 10-county district closed by flooding or downed trees from this event.
VDOT crews will continue to respond as needed. Motorists can do their part by knowing the conditions before any travel, avoiding travel if possible and, if travel is necessary, slowing down, allowing extra time and maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles.
The Lynchburg District consists of the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Buckingham, Campbell, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Nelson, Pittsylvania and Prince Edward.
